I am a wife and a mother of 2 beautiful girls. Both of my children have gone through ISR so I know firsthand the effect and results of this program. When I was initially introduced to ISR from friends and neighbors by seeing their children’s survival skills, I knew this was something that would give me the peace of mind I was looking for. Living in Florida with so many bodies of water around us, I needed to enroll my kids right away. I found it extremely fascinating to watch the instructors and the children at work and the end result was simply priceless. I had been a huge supporter of ISR for many years and always admired the instructors’ passion for teaching this amazing Self-Rescue® skill. This program was nothing like I had ever tried before with my children, and it clearly made an impact on me and my family.
I had been working with young children in my community. I had a passion to teach and care for children and I had been wondering where it would lead me next. There was a great need for instructors in my community due to the high demand for ISR Self-Rescue® lessons. It was then that I realized what better way to help children than to teach them a skill that could potentially save their life. I spent over 80 hours of hands on in-water training working with actual students, over 120 hours of ISR's comprehensive training program where instructors learn and develop the skills necessary to make in-water assessments. I have been trained and tested in areas such as child psychology, physiology, anatomy, behavioral science and early childhood development principles to provide the safest lesson possible for your child. I am happy to say that I have been teaching for over 12 years and am now the one creating an impact in my community.
